Our Minister, Mrs. Selçuk: Firms with High Employment Potential Meet with Job Seekers in Online Employment Fair

Mrs. Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, Minister of Family Labour and Social Services expressed that the forth “Online Employment Fair” started today to bring together job seekers and employers in a safe way during the pandemic.

4th Online Employment Fair Starts Today and Continues Tomorrow

Our Minister, Mrs. Selçuk indicated her appreciation for the high interest in the Online Employment Fairs organised by İŞKUR previously and said that our 11 provinces will participate in the fourth Virtual Employment Fair, which will take place today and tomorrow and the online fair would also include firms operating in sectors with high employment potential.

Job Seekers Meet with Firms through “sanalistihdamfuari.iskur.gov.tr”

Our Minister, Mrs. Selçuk underlined that differing from traditional employment fairs, Online Employment Fairs was an important step that gave opportunity for job seekers and employers to meet online, provided time and cost saving and facilitated the groups requiring special policy to access service. Moreover, she indicated that it was difficult to meet and make interviews face-to-face during the pandemic and job seekers could make interviews with firms through “sanalistihdamfuari.iskur.gov.tr”.

Online Fairs Mediate Job Placement of More Than 10 Thousand Citizens

Our Minister, Mrs. Selçuk reminded that they held the first “Online Employment Fair” on 2-3 May 2019 in Mersin and stated that they organised the second Online Employment Fair on 25-26 September 2019 all over Turkey and the third Online Employment Fair on 26-27 December 2019. She added that approximately 300 thousand citizens were registered to the fairs, job seekers submitted approximately 200 thousand curriculum vitaes to the firms during the online fair, and they mediated job placement of more than 10 thousand citizens.
