Uzbekistan Delegation visits İŞKUR
Within the framework of the Protocol and Action Plan established under the “Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation in the Fields of Labour and Employment” signed between the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of the Republic of Türkiye and the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a delegation headed by Alisher Muratov, Deputy Minister of Employment and Poverty Reduction of Uzbekistan, visited İŞKUR on 2 October 2025.
During the opening and welcoming session of the visit, Director General of İŞKUR Samet Güneş expressed his satisfaction with the visit of the Uzbekistan Delegation and emphasized the importance of international cooperation and the sharing of good practices. In his speech, Güneş said, "Your visit is not merely a formal programme for us, but also a strong demonstration of the will of two brotherly countries to learn from each other, share experiences and build the future together. Türkiye and Uzbekistan are two countries with very strong historical, cultural and emotional ties. We are delighted to further advance this partnership through institutional cooperation in the areas of labour markets, employment policies and social protection.”
The Head of the Uzbekistan Delegation and Deputy Minister Muratov stated that this visit would strengthen ties between the two countries and enable them to learn useful examples from Türkiye's practices. Muratov also stated that they would make significant progress in resolving the issues in the labour market of Uzbekistan thanks to the coordinated cooperation and strong solidarity established between the two countries.
Following the opening speeches, presentations were made to provide information on public employment services strategies, successful practices of İŞKUR, and activities carried out within the scope of international relations. Furthermore, ideas were exchanged on developing joint projects on vocational training, sharing good practices to increase the employment of disabled people, and experience exchange regarding the labour market.
In the meeting, it was also expressed that İŞKUR, currently the Vice-President of World Association of Public Employment Services (WAPES), and Uzbekistan would be pleased to collaborate as the members of the Association. The visit ended with consultations on strengthening cooperation between agencies and expanding joint fields of study.
